You’ve tried your whole life not to take up too much space .
You learned to be the good kid, taking care of others.
You learned to be a perfectionist, working hard to earn approval or safety.
You learned to say yes, not to disappoint people, managing their feelings or emotions.
You learned how to read the emotional weather in a room — always alert, always on edge.
If your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete.
Jack Kornfield
You’re still the caregiver, the responsible one— maybe even in a caretaking profession.
You’re still working hard, doing your best, even though you’re exhausted.
You find it hard to say no — and if you do, the guilt is crushing and you find yourself over-explaining.
You’re an expert at meeting everyone’s needs — meanwhile, your body and soul are crying out for rest, attention, support.
It’s natural to feel resentful when we’ve had a lifetime of ignoring our needs.
If you're feeling ready to...
stop apologizing for having needs
learn how to say ‘no’ without feeling terrible about it
start to trust others to support and care for you
reclaim the energy and life force you’ve been spending on others...
Maybe it’s finally time for YOU to be heard, seen, and cared for.

Hi, I'm Laura.
I’m a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern Therapist located online throughout Florida and in Stuart, FL.
I have over a decade of working with adults who are ready to change the patterns that are making them exhausted, sick, and resentful.
Most of my clients have a high level of self awareness-- but insight and awareness are not enough. If they were, you’d already have made the changes on your own!
My approach is compassionate and empowering. I integrate NARM, somatic modalities, and Jungian psychology to get to the unconscious, deepest layers that talk therapy alone can’t touch.
My practice is neuro-divergent affirming, fat-friendly, body-neutral, and welcomes all worldviews and spiritual traditions. You are welcome, just as you are.
In our work together, we’ll explore the ways in which managing other people’s emotions helped you to get through some of the most difficult years of your life. You’ll learn how you can engage in meaningful relationships now without sacrificing your own well-being, by connecting to your own authentic needs and emotions.
